This artwork was done for a HRH Princess Margaret artist collaboration, where this exclusive collaboration provides the opportunity to be one of the 20 artists interpreting the iconic photograph of HRH Princess Margaret, taken by Ken Griffiths.
The project involves an artistic reinterpretation of the picture that Ken Griffiths took of HRH Princess Margaret in 1985 holding a pillow embroidered with the sentence 'It's not easy being a Princess'. It was an incredibly iconic photograph, which became the cover of The Telegraph on the day her death was announced. In the light of the coming 20th anniversary of her passing away, on 9th February 2022, the decision was done to commemorate the image by inviting 20 extremely talented artists to reinterpret it according to their style and vision.
