In this series as well, I weave
autobiographical elements into my work – particularly the complex relationship with my pill and alcohol addicted mother, often overshadowed by a toxic sensation: a presence so overwhelming, it suffocates the air to breathe.

INVISIBLE THREAT

Nature is within us. It breathes us just as we breathe it. But what happens when humankind transforms that which sustains it into something toxic?
Air becomes a witness of human action – permeated by traces of greed, ignorance, and convenience. It is not only the space around us that becomes polluted, but the very essence of our being.

VISIBLE CONSEQUENCES

The colorful, AI-generated gas masks forming the backdrop of her monumental portraits are a powerful symbol of a threat that is often glossed over or repressed – a stark reminder of the ignorance of our time.
They urge us to confront the forces endangering our existence – before it’s too late.
